So last week some pics of beautiful Eva Longoria showed up and the pregnancy rumors began. In the pictures she’s sporting a shorter ‘Mom’ due and is a little heavier than usual, so naturally everyone assumed that the Desperate Housewives’ star was preggers. As a result of all the hype surrounding her new look she spoke with Entertainment Tonight to set the story straight.

On last season’s finale, we got to take a peak into the future on Wisteria Lane. Seems Gaby has gone from glamorous socialite to not so glamorous housewife, with two kids to take care of. The upcoming season continues with the flash forward, so Eva decided to cut her hair, rather than wear a wig. And she is allowing herself to gain a bit of weight for the role also, even though it is reported that she will wear some padding for an even heavier look. .

And her hubby, Tony Parker, has been helping her. “I ate everything in sight - Pasta pappardelle and pizza. Oh, Tony and I went crazy this summer.” He also helped with the haircut, getting to make the first snip, Eva says, on the insistence of her hairdresser so that if Eva was mad, she would get mad at Tony and not the stylist.

Okay, maybe I’m crazy, but I’ve seen the pictures that helped spark the baby rumors and all I can say is, what in the Hell were people thinking? Yes, she has on a bit more weight than normal, but who cares? She still looks gorgeous. The fact that she had to give an interview explaining why she is no longer a size zero is a bit disgusting. And since the reason she ballooned up to, what, a whopping size three is for her TV show, it’s all fine and dandy. I’d be very curious about what would have happened if she had simply stated that she just wanted to enjoy summer and eat some good ole Italian food.
