Well it appears that Britney Spears’ father Jamie is desperate to get his daughter hitched. No, he isn’t starting a bachelorette type reality TV show in which Britney would get her pick of back up dancers to choose from. No, Mr. Spears is trying to pay Kevin Federline to marry his daughter again.

According to a source;

“Jamie’s been after Kevin to get back with Britney for months. He knows he may have to pay to get it done-and the money would come out of Britney’s assets, which he now controls….He keeps raising the stakes….The key is not letting Britney find out. When he isn’t in Brit’s life, she completely falls apart. It sounds corny, but he completes her-and Jamie knows it.”

Um, didn’t her complete melt down start when she hooked up with this loser in the first place? Maybe Pops needs to go over some old copies of People and Star magazine. Why, oh why would he want his daughter to hook back up with Federline just as she seems to be getting her crap together? And how much is Daddy offering Kevin?

According to Star Magazine:

“His latest offer is $4.5 million in cash and a trust account set up with another $5 million if Kevin moves back in with Britney within a year. If they actually remarry, Jamie will add another $5 million to Kevin’s account.”

But apparently this is not good enough for Federline. He wants twenty million up front and no prenup.

People have been speculating for a while now if the couple would reconcile. Now that they have both put the boys first, they seem to be getting a long better. And friends of Brit have said that she is open to the idea of getting back together with K-Fed. But I wonder how she would feel to know that her father is trying to sell her? And that Kevin has counter offered? For two men who keep claiming to have Britney’s best interest at heart, it seems like a slimy thing to do.

So it seems Kevin Federline has won a father of the year award. Isn’t that nifty? The award is to be given by Prive nightclub at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Federline will receive the awards on Friday the 13^th, two days before father’s day. And no, I’m not really sure why a nightclub is giving out a father of the year award. While I’m sure that a drinking establishment has very good parental judgment, it seems a little weird to me. And even weirder is the fact that this is not the first father of the year award Kevin has received. Last year he was named one of the fathers of the year by Detail magazine. In an explanation for why Kevin is such a stand out Dad the magazine had the following to say:

“The New Dad, as represented by Kevin and Birkhead, is involved. He trucks the kids to the supermarket, decorates their bedrooms, and even lets them dictate the direction of his career.”

Wait, Kevin has a career? You mean besides being the ex Mr. Britney Spears? I did not know. Huh. All kidding aside, yes, Kevin is a wonderful father to his two kids. He treats them like gold. Or a money train. He takes care of them, gives them everything they want. Sure, it’s all with Britney’s moola, but it’s the thought that counts, right? And I mean, he’s an amazing man to take care of his own kids while his ex wife was having a breakdown. So, he’s being awarded for always being there for his kids. Wait, some of his kids. I guess Prive and Detail magazine doesn’t give a hoot about the fact that Kevin left his very pregnant girlfriend, Shar Jackson, and the child they already had to hook up with Ms. Pop. Wonder if Shar and the kids will be at the ceremony?
