Shia LaBeouf, who has recently starred in the blockbuster Indian Jones’ movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, has once again had a run in with the law. For a relative newcomer to Hollywood he sure is racking up the arrests. His latest police snafu puts him in the ever coveted DUI club.

Stoked on his rising stardom, and of course some booze, Shia attempted to take a left turn going the speed of a transformer resulting in a crash with another vehicle, flipping his truck over. The fender bender took place at around 3 am Sunday morning. According to Sergeant Wolfe of Los Angeles County, “It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest.”

An unknown woman passenger and the people in the other car were uninjured, walking away with minor bumps and bruises, while LaBeouf himself sustained injuries to his knee, hand and possibly his head. He is being charged with misdemeanor DUI rather than felony DUI because no one else was seriously injured. Shia himself ended up having to have extensive surgery to his injured hand, resulting in a month long delay of his filming for the Transformer sequel. He is reportedly still in the hospital, where he was cited for the drunk driving.

No one should really be surprised that he has graduated to a DUI. In the past the young star has been in trouble for wielding a knife against a neighbor and being wasted at a Walgreens. Maybe he’s just trying to fit in to the whole Hollywood scene. After all, you’re nobody in young Hollywood unless you’ve been arrested. And DUI seems to be the fashionable thing to do. Maybe a stint in rehab is in his future. If that is the case, then he’s got it made in the shade.

Well it seems that Khloe Kardashian is joining a not so elite group that consists of the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie. While she is already in the famous for being famous club with the two, she will very shortly be inducted into the Going to Jail for a DUI club.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashian star and youngest daughter of OJ Simpson lawyer, the late Robert Kardashian, Khloe was given probation for a March, 2007 arrest for drunken driving. In a court on July 3^rd of this year, she admitted to breaking the condition of her probation. She was originally given 27 to 36 months of probation and was supposed to do community service with the California Department of Transportation. Along with this she was also to go through an alcohol treatment program.

As a result of breaching the conditions of her parole, the youngest Kardashian will reportedly be turning herself over on Friday to serve a thirty day jail sentence. Khloe’s publicist, Jeff Raymond told the Associated Press that, “Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved.”

Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner says, “Drinking and driving should be taken very seriously and unfortunately, Khloe had to learn the hard way.” The hard way? Maybe if she had done her community service, which would have involved actually work, it would have been the hard way. But due to the overpopulation of the jail, it is speculated that Khloe will spend only three days behind bars out of her thirty day sentence. If I was mommy dearest, maybe I’d be asking why my spoiled brat thought she was too good to do roadside clean-up. Then again, there is that whole apple not falling far from the tree thing.
