With the huge success of the Sex and The City movie, it looks like a sequel will be coming down the line. Fans who had made their peace and said goodbye to the four girls will get a chance to see further in their personal and fashion lives.

HBO, who was one of the main backers of the movie, has confirmed that a sequel is indeed in, “the early stages of development”. The president of HBO’s programming group, Michael Lombardo, says that they are working with Warner Brothers on the follow up movie. “There is enormous interest by Warner Bros. and New Line to do another Sex and the City and I think, in fact, they’re trying to put that together now. When that happens or how long it would take, I can’t say. But there’s tremendous interest.”

HBO co-president, Richard Plepler, is also very excited and positive about the prospect of a Sex and The City sequel. “Everybody came away feeling very excited by [the first film's] quality and its success, so that always invites the possibility of a continuation,” Plepler said. “It’s really up to [director] Michael Patrick [King] and Sarah Jessica [Parker] and the rest of the girls … Yeah, I think there’s a likely possibility.”

But this is definitely in the preliminary stages. So far there is no script written and no contracts have been signed by any of the stars. And there are already rumors that Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha, will once again hold out for more money. A source says, “Kim is a smart woman and knows the part she has played in the success of the film. If they want to make a sequel, it’s foolish to think they can secure her for the same salary.”

After almost a year of in court fighting over the custody of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, it seem that the battle has ended rather anticlimactically. Less than one month before the case was to go to court, Britney has decided to give up custodial rights to her children.

With the agreement that was reached between the two parties out of court, Federline will retain sole custody of the two little boys, with Spears having three visits a week, including two overnight stays. There is also room for increased visitation rights, based on Spears’ behavior.

Lawyers for both sides say that their clients are very happy. In a statement addressing the settlement, Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said, “This has been a long ordeal, and to have that over is something that makes him extremely happy.” Britney’s attorney, Laura Wasser, told the Associated Press that the terms of the settlement meant “a win for the family.”

Within the last year Britney has had a very public melt down with several trips to hospital for psychiatric treatment resulting in her father taking over custodianship of the young singer and her life. While she seems to have cleaned up her act over the past few months, her past behavior would still have been a huge factor if the case had gone to trial. She quite often missed her hearings, going to the mall and shopping instead. It was becoming quite obvious that while Kevin might not have been the ideal parent, he would have retained custody of the children. By settling out of court, Britney is saving herself, and especially her kids, from the criticism of the courts and the eyes of the paparazzi. And, for some, her agreement to settle out of court shows how far the pop star has come. As her lawyer states it, “The difference from the beginning of this year to now is astonishing.”

Shia LaBeouf, who has recently starred in the blockbuster Indian Jones’ movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, has once again had a run in with the law. For a relative newcomer to Hollywood he sure is racking up the arrests. His latest police snafu puts him in the ever coveted DUI club.

Stoked on his rising stardom, and of course some booze, Shia attempted to take a left turn going the speed of a transformer resulting in a crash with another vehicle, flipping his truck over. The fender bender took place at around 3 am Sunday morning. According to Sergeant Wolfe of Los Angeles County, “It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest.”

An unknown woman passenger and the people in the other car were uninjured, walking away with minor bumps and bruises, while LaBeouf himself sustained injuries to his knee, hand and possibly his head. He is being charged with misdemeanor DUI rather than felony DUI because no one else was seriously injured. Shia himself ended up having to have extensive surgery to his injured hand, resulting in a month long delay of his filming for the Transformer sequel. He is reportedly still in the hospital, where he was cited for the drunk driving.

No one should really be surprised that he has graduated to a DUI. In the past the young star has been in trouble for wielding a knife against a neighbor and being wasted at a Walgreens. Maybe he’s just trying to fit in to the whole Hollywood scene. After all, you’re nobody in young Hollywood unless you’ve been arrested. And DUI seems to be the fashionable thing to do. Maybe a stint in rehab is in his future. If that is the case, then he’s got it made in the shade.

I always though in order to be white trash you had to be dirt poor. Turns out I was wrong. After all, is there anything more white trash than the Hogan family? (Sorry Britney, they even out white trash you.)

There is enough scandal and weirdness with this family to keep a celebrity writer in material constantly. A nasty divorce, nasty arrest and nasty boob job keep this family going. And as with all celebrity stars who are famous for just being famous, this crew has no internal sensor when it comes to dishing the dirt on themselves and each other.

Since it’s been about three seconds since anything scandalous has happened in this dysfunctional family, the Hulkster himself has decided to once again wax poetic on his divorce and soon to be ex wife, Linda. In a chat with US magazine, the wrestler discusses Linda, whom he considers his toughest opponent ever. “Without a doubt, this one is the most formidable opponent I’ve ever run into. You talk about dirty tricks: Brass knuckles, steel knuckles, cheap shots, tripping people up. I’ve never seen anybody in the wrestling business that has more dirty tricks than she does! I guess I taught her well.”

Youch! Bitter much? Linda filed for divorce a few months back after 23 years of marriage. She is currently dating a 20 year old former classmate of daughter Brooke, while the Hulk himself is seeing Jennifer McDaniel, a Brooke look alike. No wonder the Hogan daughter is so messed up.

In the meantime, Brooke herself has spoken out about rumors that she failed to visit brother, Nick on his 18^th birthday. Nick is currently in the slammer serving time on a DUI that resulted in the serious injury of his passenger. On her blog she goes off on the media, calling them jerks and generally bitching about them.

“Hey Media! Why don’t you gather facts, check them, and then give the public the truth? That might work. Oh no…I forgot. You make too much money telling LIES. Needless to say, I WAS there for my brother on his birthday because he is my best friend and NOTHING comes before family.”

Hey Brooke, ever hear the one about biting the hand that feeds you?

You would think that I would get sick of writing about Amy Winehouse, but I don’t think that is possible. The singing sensation is constantly in a state of drama and it is almost to the point where her weird and erratic behavior is the norm. Soap opera writers couldn’t come up with a character as good as Amy.

Amy took time out from public intoxification and randomly doling out smack-downs to be rushed to hospital by ambulance. According to her spokesperson, Chris Goodman, the Rehab songstress suffered an adverse reaction to medication she was taking. That tends to happen if you drink like a fish while taking meds. This reaction resulted in Amy needing to be taken to the University College Hospital were she was admitted for overnight detox, I mean, observation.

A spokesperson for UCH has said that, “Our doctors decided to keep her overnight for observation. She had a comfortable night and will be discharged today.” On his way in to visit his daughter in hospital, Winehouse’s father, Mitch, asked the media and paparazzi to leave his family alone. Showing off a bag of fast food he told reporters, “This is how serious it is,” when pressed about her condition.

She has since been released and is back home. In his statement, Goodman says, “She had a bit of a scare yesterday because of a reaction to treatment. She was kept in overnight purely for observation. Amy is at home now after leaving with her father and manager. She is having a rest.”

This latest medical emergency comes amid grave concerns for the singer’s health. Her prior stay in hospital resulted in a diagnoses of early stage emphysema due to her chronic cigarette and crack habits. The diagnoses didn’t seem to faze the slightly crazy singer at all, as she still puffs away like a chimney every chance she gets.

Looks like Shia LaBeouf has had a bit of luck. Despite the fact that he is under suspicion of drinking while driving for that early morning crash Sunday, he is not at fault for the accident. The driver of the other vehicle ran a red light, causing the fender bender that sent Shia into surgery for a shattered hand.

Sheriff’s spokesperson Steve Whitmore has said that the Indiana Jones actor “was not at fault.” According to Whitmore, the Sheriff’s office has strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light. “As a result of this new evidence the other driver is also being charged.” Even though the accident wasn’t his fault, it doesn’t get the actor off on the misdemeanor DUI charge, even though he has yet to be formally charged. According to officers on the scene, LaBeouf showed “obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath.”

But it seems that not everyone believes that the young actor was indeed drunk. It has been confirmed that the unidentified female passenger with Shia at the time of the accident was his Transformers 2 co-star Isabel Lucas. Lucas was not seriously injured in the crash and was treated at Mount Sinai hospital for minor cuts and bruises. Neither Isabel nor her mother Beatrice believes that Shia had been drinking before getting behind the wheel. And Beatrice Lucas has spoken out about the accident. She told Australia’s Cairn Post that she doesn’t think that LaBeouf was intoxicated and driving. Why? Because she doesn’t think her daughter would be dumb enough to get in the car with someone drunk. “Isabel would not get into the car with someone she thought was drink-driving.” Everyone else at the crash site has indicated that Shia smelt like a brewery. Maybe alcohol smells different in Australia.

So remember a while back when Sharon Stone basically said that China deserved to be struck by a massive earthquake? In case you have forgotten, here is what the blond beauty said:

“I’m not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought is that karma — when you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?” The comment was made back in May at the Cannes Film Festival. The earthquake had casualties in the 700,000 range.

Yes, it was a stupid, insensitive thing to say. Stone has basically been apologizing for it every chance she gets and will most likely die being remembered for the leg crossing scene in Basic Instinct and that comment. China has basically banned the viewing of any Sharon Stone movie and she was dropped fro the Chinese campaign of Christian Dior. You would think that this would be punishment enough, right?

Apparently New York lawyer Ming Hai doesn’t think so. He thinks that Stone should have to pay more for her off handed comment, so he has decided to gather a group of more than 1,000 earthquake survivors and sue the actress. She has been served with papers in regards to the lawsuit, where Hai is asking for a whopping one billion dollars stating that her comments have harmed China and the earthquake survivors. “For the families who have lost their loved ones or lost limbs or suffered severe injuries, your statement and act has caused extreme emotional distress.”

Okay, I can see his point. But one billion dollars? Seems kind of extreme, don’t you think? Some might call the lawsuit karma, but I call it a publicity stunt.

Do you remember that couple in high school that were either broken up or just about to break up all the time? You know the one. They were either ending their relationship or making up and you never knew if this week they were together or seeing other people. Well Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee take that couple to a

whole new level. The two are living together again, but it’s about as clear as mud as to what exactly is happening between the two. One says they are just friends while the other says they are dating again.

Pam swears that she and their two sons are living with Tommy Lee for convenience while her home is being renovated. “The dream would be that all of us could really be together but we’re better as friends. We’re great friends. We just live together. And we’re ex-husband and wife. It’s kind of silly!” Seems clear cut, but then in practically the next breat

h she is saying maybe, just maybe she isn’t sure that they will remain just friends. “I don’t know where that’s going to go.”

In the meantime there is absolutely no doubt in Tommy Lee’s mind what is going on between the two of them. Earlier this year Lee said, “We are giving it a try for the 801st time and it’s definitely working!” So as far as Lee knows, they are living as a legitimate couple, not just roommates.

Um, how can two people live together and have such opposite ideas about their relationship? Is Tommy delusional or is Pam being coy? And to muddle the matter even more, Pam has admitted that Tommy proposes to her on a daily basis. “Tommy asks me to marry him every day. It’s very confusing.” You’re confused? How do you thing we feel Pam?

Okay, I have to ask: where in the heck are Miley Cyrus’ PR people? Come on people, do your job! It’s one thing for the media to go digging up every little scandal from her very short past. But they can’t be blamed when Miley herself keeps making things so easy for them.

Okay, so maybe she can’t be 100% blamed for the whole naughty photos being stolen from her email account thing. But you know I’m not a big star and even I wouldn’t email sexy pics of myself (not that anyone would want to see) for fear of them being let loose on the internet.

And Miley’s latest dumb move can only be blamed on herself. It’s one thing to make fun of someone. But it’s quite another to film it and post the clip on youtube, especially when you’re a mega star. Why, Miley, why?

Miley and best bud Mandy Jiroux thought it would be super funny to film a parody of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato’s show. The suspected reason for this is that Selena is dating Miley’s ex, Nick Jonas of the Jonas brothers. There has also been a lot of buzz around Selena, with her being touted as the ‘next Miley’. Miley and Mandy rip on Selena and Demi, often mimicking them word for word. Now, there isn’t a fifteen year old in the world that hasn’t made fun of a potential rival. But most of them aren’t stupid enough to post it on youtube for the world to see.

While the video clip is funny at times, it is obviously done to make fun of the two, and at times is quite mean. Miley has since come out and apologized for the clip, saying, “I mean if we offended (Gomez and Lovato), we’re super sorry, but we were, like, just having fun,” the Hannah Montana star says. “That’s our thing, to be funny. They were being funny on their show, and Elvis says imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so we were, like, imitating them. You know, like, being funny.”

You know, like, we so don’t believe you Miley.

Well, I guess all those rumors last month about the imminent break up of super cute Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were just that: rumors. The couple seems to be going strong and it has recently been leaked that they are expecting their second child together. But are they?

While there has been no official announcement from the two, a couple of close friends have let it slip that Jennifer is pregnant. Earlier this month, Jennifer’s former Alias costar, Victor Garber was asked in an interview by US magazine if Jennifer was expecting. His answer was short and to the point: “Yes, she is.” But Garber has recently told E! News that his comment was take out of context and he has no idea if she is indeed pregnant. “I haven’t confirmed that at all, no. I know they want to have another child and hopefully that’s true, but I don’t know that. … No, I know that they are hoping to be. I just don’t know that it’s for sure. It’s a very… personal thing.”

Now it seems that director Kevin Smith has added his two cents spilling the beans while chatting to US magazine at a recent Maxim party. The friend and costar of Affleck’s further confirmed the baby rumor. Smith, who directed Affleck in Chasing Amy, Mallrats and Dogma told US magazine that Ben, “came over last week and told me, ‘I’m having another baby!’ I said, ‘Right on!’…”He’s a good dad, man.” Smith also said that now that they are expanding their family, they are in the process of house hunting for a larger home.
