Mary Kate back in rehab soon?

July 11th, 2008

Poor, poor little Mary Kate Olsen. When she is not being slammed by Spencer no talent Pratt, who a few weeks ago called her a troll, she is being accused of partying again.

According to Star magazine, Mary Kate is back to her old partying ways and drinking up a storm. It seems that this renewed partying just might lead to a repeat stint in rehab for the young star. The magazine is reporting that she has already done a bit of time in rehab lately. After a night of extreme drinking the petite actress collapse in a parking lot. Was she still drunk? No, she was trying to cleanse her body from the night before. She ended up seeking treatment at a holistic spa to detox.

Star magazine was told by someone close to Mary Kate that, “Mary-Kate seriously needs to get to rehab, but she doesn’t think she has a problem. She thinks she’s young, hip and entitled to live her life as she sees fit. But it’s affecting everything.”

This latest relapse is rumored to be due to the fact that she has not gotten over the death of friend Heath Ledger. At the time of his death in January, the two were rumored to be more that just friends. MJ was asked by Elle magazine about Heath’s death and responded by saying, “I’m not going to comment on that. I won’t give you a word about that in the nicest way possible. Let’s move on”

Rumors of her return to rehab come shortly after she was reported to have spent the fourth of July with gal pal Jessica Stam. Stam, a Canadian model was reported to have been a good influence on the blond star. Mary Kate was seen at the holiday BBQ, eating but not touching a single drop of alcohol.

So, as usual there are contradicting reports coming out of Tinsel Town. But let’s hope she is getting her act together. With her performance on Weeds and her role in The Wackness, Mary Kate Olsen is starting to look like a rising star.

In Hollywood, there is the high road and the low road. Most of the time those who live in the land of glitz and glitter take the high road refusing to dish the dirt about other celebrities and keeping mum on scandals. But, oh, when they take the low road how we do love it!

The latest celebrity ( and I use the term very loosely) to open their mouth and talk dirt about another is Spencer Pratt of The Hills. Not only is Spencer quite familiar with the low road, I’m pretty sure he’s the one that paved it. The latest whining session from the reality TV star was a result of something his former classmate, Mary Kate Olsen said on the Letterman show.

Dave mentioned Olsen’s former classmate asking her ,”Don’t you think he’s a little wormy?” Mary Kate kept pretty mum on the topic, mention that he used to lose his temper while playing soccer. Dave tried to get her to dish the dirt but she refused. But it seemed even the fact that she mentioned him was enough to infuriate Pratt and send him straight to US Weekly to give his response.

“I don’t really get why she’d used my name to get press for her little indie film that no one’s going to see. She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me. …I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is taking about me on Letterman. I forgive her, though. She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.”

So, she mentions you have a temper and you immediately fly off the handle and spout nasty stuff about her in a magazine? Geez, Spencer, way to make her point for her. And while I may not be a huge fan of the Olsen twins, calling her a “famous troll” is just being mean and hateful. And I’m not sure how you can be the less cute identical twin. If you are going to bash someone in the press, it should at least make sense. God, did you ask her out in high school and she said no?

Spencer, who quite often fights with his fiancé/girlfriend/whatever she is now, Heidi Montag, on The Hills, just can’t seem to keep his mouth shut. It’s actually kind of sad. While Mary Kate Olsen is gearing up to continue being a staying power in Hollywood, I doubt any of us will even remember Pratt in a year or two. If we’re lucky.
